“My music is a reflection of love in its purest form-- intentional, redemptive, and enduring. I believe love is something we steward, not just something we feel. Through my songs, I invitte people to love well and love real, embracing both the beauty and the weight of connection.
Rooted in family, faith and community, I create for those who long for something timeless--music that feels like love letters sealed with sincerity, like a voice on the other end of a landline reminding you that you’re not alone. My sound is modern soul wrapped in nostalgic warmth, an homage to the past with eyes set on the future.
I stand as both the Everyman and the Lover-- a gentleman in growth, evolving yet grounded. My art is an offering, given freely as I have freely received. Through every lyric, every not, and every moment shared, I seek to cultivate spaces where hearts feel seen, stories feel honored, and love is always the loudest voice in the room.”

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Willie Mxses is a storyteller at heart—blending music, emotion, and lived experience to create something deeply resonant. His journey began in the church choir in Seaside, CA, where music was a community affair, filling THE CHURCH mornings with harmony and purpose. But as families moved away, the once-thriving choir shrank, leaving behind a small but mighty group—just Willie and his four brothers. Together, they carried on the tradition, CROONING ACROSS MONTEREY COUNTY AND, EVENTUALLY, THE NATION, turning harmonies into a bond that would shape his artistry forever.
Rooted in the sounds of gospel, R&B, and alternative soul, Willie’s music reflects the rawness of real life—the beauty, the struggle, and the quiet moments in between. His work invites listeners into his world, where the everyday meets the extraordinary, love is both messy and beautiful, and faith runs deep.
Now, as he continues to grow as an artist, Willie is dedicated to using his music to uplift his community—bringing people together just as he did in those early choir days. With the support of this grant, he hopes to expand his reach, creating work that not only tells his story but amplifies the voices of those around him.
